How can I get rid of the stale coffee taste from my stainless steel thermos?
I have tried baking soda,denture tablets,baking soda etc to get rid of
the icky taste in my coffee thermos and nothing works! Thanks...
There is a product called Simple Green that is non-toxic, biodegradable and breaks down the tanin residue that is clinging to the inside of the thermos. Spray it a few times into the opening, fill it with water, soak overnight and rinse out the thermos in the morning. Simple Green works to clean out coffee pots without leaving that awful vinegar smell and it is sold at drug and discount stores for about $1.99. You can use it on a host of other cleaning problems, too, it is concentrated so you can dilute it for your purposes.
